How to make 0.999~ equal to 1?

Proof:

x = 0.9999... (1)
10x = 9.9999...
10x - x = 9.9999... - 0.9999... (from line 1)
9x = 9
x = 1.


it's a completely feasible solution. so 0.999 shall from today onwards be equal to 1! all hail mathematics!
